The office of the County Clerk will be open every day,
EXCEPT
SATURDAY, Sunday and Legal Holidays, from 8:30AM to 4:30PM for the purpose of registering
voters. There can be no registration during the 28 day period preceding every election, or

have resided in the State, County and Precinct for thirty days and be otherwise qualified
to vote at such election. Every applicant who shall be eighteen years of age or over on
the day of the next election shall be permitted to register, if otherwise qualified. To
constitute residence, a permanent abode and dwelling place within the precinct are
necessary.
Each person must apply in person for registration, taking an oath or affirmation to truly
answer questions concerning his qualifications and eligibility, supply the information
necessary to properly fill out the registration card, and must execute the affidavit
appearing on the registration card. Two forms of identification are required.
The County Clerk must be notified of any change of address of registered voters.
You may also register with deputy registrars or with city clerks in their office up to 28
days prior to the election.
Rules subject to change due to implementation of the National Voter Registration Act of
